A picturesque town - Hahndoff

Leaving Barossa our next destination is Kangaroo Island to the south. Traffic is light on country roads and a joy to have this vintage's company for a little while.

I enjoyed sights of trees along the route too. These seem to glow with golden color - some form of fungi growth on its bark?

Large trunk with small branches.

This tree is unique - sign posted as a family heritage tree.

Seem to stand on tripod!

Indeed there is a family history behind it!

It was good fortune we passed the town of Hahndoff enroute. It is a well known town in South Australia, a 30min drive from Adelaide. Wikipedia carries a write up of its history of German origin. For me it is a picturesque town for photographic opportunities. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The display of antique collections at this cafe is eye catching.

So are these spaghettis!

Charming houses too!

This 25cm gun was captured by the 8th Battalion from the Germans in France.

Face off between sheep and Shepard dog?

OMG, what a dive! Mistaken for a pool?

I'll certainly stopover should I come back this way again.
